A Malaysian
Ah ha. On Friday, I suppose I did the unthinkable. I went to register myself to become a voter!!! Hahahahaha. I know I sound very hyped about it and most of you can't much be bothered but I must use my right in anyway as a citizen of Malaysia to determine the future of our country. We shall see what's going to happen in this next election.
Disclaimer - I'm not being political in anyway. I hope I don't get caught by the ISA. :D

The Decision
I have decided to stay back in Malaysia. I have not told many people yet but I think my family needs me here. So hopefully, I'm doing the right thing. May I find the right work place and life here.

Well, I got up like 7.10 this morning to accompany my dad to the hospital. He needed to do his endoscopy and it seems everything is okay.
Yawnzzzzzzzzzzz. I think I will go back to sleep. But my room is a furnace at the moment. Aihhhhhhhh.

Bleak prospects for UK job market
Sorry peeps. I knew this was going to happen. I wish you all the best in getting your jobs. This is from the BBC.
The outlook for the UK job market is at its worst for a decade, according to a report from an employment organisation.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development forecasts a net rise in employment of 75,000 in 2008, a third of the rise forecast in 2006 and 2007.
The institute estimates unemployment will rise by around 150,000 to 1.8 million, or 5.8% of the workforce.
Next year would be "easily the worst since the Labour Government came to power in 1997", the institute said.
John Philpott, chief economist at the CIPD, said that in the previous two years a downward trend in public sector employment "has in turn been more than offset by rising numbers of private sector jobs".
"But 2008 will be the first year for a decade that the engine of job creation will be spluttering right across the economy," he forecast.
Slowdown
Mr Philpott warned that the slowdown in the job market could prompt "bigger cuts in interest rates than currently anticipated" and prolong the effects of the economic downturn into 2009.
In the private sector, the institute said job losses will be felt most in financial services, which in recent years has "been a substantial driver of employment growth" but is now "facing a direct hit from the credit crunch".
Many financial firms and banks have been hit by exposure to problems in the US housing market.
This has made banks reluctant to lend to consumers and each other, creating conditions known as a credit crunch.
In October, the Centre for Economics and Business Research said that it expected 6,500 jobs to be lost in the City of London financial district during 2008, with cutbacks most pronounced in investment banking.
The CIPD said that jobs were also likely to be lost in the public sector as the government attempts to improve public service efficiency.
A survey earlier this month by recruitment firm Manpower found that UK employers are set to take on new workers at their slowest rate in six years in the wake of the credit crisis.
Limited options
Many analysts are warning that consumers may rein in spending when faced with deteriorating economic and job conditions.
"Any excessive spending over Christmas and at the New Year sales, especially where goods are paid for on credit, risks tipping even more consumers over the edge," said Mark Sands, director of insolvency at KPMG.
"The credit crunch is resulting in increased rejections of credit card applications and a reduction in the availability of loans secured by a second charge on the family home.
"Those in difficulty will find that their options are becoming limited."

Those who know me especially in a relationship can certainly have heard me saying this 1000000 times. And yet you all denied that there wasn't anything going on.

Kat De Luna feat Elephant Man - Whine Up
Good song to blast though with my current mood, anything goes. :P
Tummy Okay!!!
It seems that my tummy is a okay. But I just need to be careful with it since tummy can be upset due to anything. So, I should lay off some milk and also reduce my consumption of food. Yup, that would be my new year's resolution. Next year resolution is going to be a long one I think.

Christmas Lunch And Open House
First post on Christmas in this blog. Well, there isn't much to say just to say food has been always good and plentiful. Of course this time I didn't eat that much. Serious!!! I knew my limits eventhough everyone was asking me to eat eat eat. Unfortunately, we had to leave early for an open house but the Churches of Malaysia.
So, the open house was in Bukit Nanas near Convent Bukit Nanas and St. John(pui at the gagak's). Lol. Anyway, my father just headed in there for greet some friends and I explored the area since I have been to the area once in my life time in KL. :)
Eh. Now who is this. Lol. Well, it's the Prime Minister himself.
HO HO HO!!!
I seem to be happy and hmmmm evil at the same time. I dunno. I suppose it was a dream I had before this. It was kinda really nice and all. Beautiful sceneries and good friends. I know it's weird but hey.
May be it's true that Christmas is a day for joy and laughter and time for forgiveness too.
To Sping: Aiyaaaa, I was just kidding okay about your card. Of course I know it took you a lot of hard work designing it. And I know all the details about it. Sorry ya!!! My sincere humble apologies.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets
I have been waiting to see this show for sometime. Since the first movie, it certainly have highlighted all the stories I hear about the Freemasons, Illuminatis and the Crusaders. Now, this time they are going back pre-Columbus finding the City of Gold. Very intriguing. I don't want to spoil anything but I think it was quite worth it to watch it in the cinema.
Oh yea, speaking of cinemas, we watched it in the GSC Pavilion and of course it's brand new. The seats were hard and odour-free if you know what I mean. However, being anything in a shopping complex in Malaysia, the air-con was working at 180% efficient bring the temperature down to 12 degrees.

Oh yea, I forgot. I saw Tun Dr Mahathir in The Loaf in Pavilion. Hahaha. I found it quite fascinating that his bodyguard was so cool and casual compared to the Secret Service given to the ex-presidents of the United States. Hehe.
Sick Or Not To Be Sick
May be being sick isn't that bad. I just lost 2 kgs in 1 day. Hmmmmmmm. Unless my weighing scale is playing tricks on me, I think it's quite remarkable to lose that much in 1 day. I suppose I was burning all my body fats yesterday.
Even today, my tummy is a bit cranky. I hope it can be cured for tomorrow's Christmas lunch and for my visit to my gastrologist on Boxing Day. Hehehe. Talking about Boxing Day, I'm going to miss my shopping. T_T

Back To Recovery
But before I go back to recovery, I just feel so insecure and insignificant now. I mean do I need to be dead before people get to notice me? By then, it's a bit too late right. And even worse no one comes for the funeral.
Aihhhhhhhhhh. It's just so depressing. As you can see, I'm quite emo and not exactly jumping with joy since Christmas is around the corner. And being sick isn't helping either.

Weak
Aihhhhhhhhhhhhh. I want to blog also I feel so weak. I will definitely blog about National Treasure: The Book of Secrets. I saw it in the new GSC in Pavilion. Kinda syiok. Hehehe.
So Much For Being Full
Well, it came out. But not as bad as in New York. I suppose padan muka me. :( Goodness, I can't even see food pictures.

Shopping Saturday
Eh? Since when I started shopping. Ah ha. Well, 1-Utama today was quite quiet. I guessed it's the Christmas holidays and everyone is out of town. I definitely got a few things. Firstly, I got a pair of shades. YES!!! Finally, I got a pair of shades. I have been searching for a few for the past months and finally, I decided to get a low range one to try it out first.
As I always complained that I need to wear contacts for sunglasses, this pair was not too bad and it was quite reasonable. To be honest, I was looking at the Tag Hauer outdoor. Wahhhhhh. Super cool but aiya, don't want to spend like that.
Then I got a pair of trousers and shirt from Billabong. It was on sale and I know I can't resist a good one. And that's about it. Hehehe. Easy and relaxing one.
Dinner was again at the PJ Hilton japanese buffet to welcome Natasha back from the UK. Makan lor. Hehehe. How not to lose weight. :(

New Secretary
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It's certainly a tiring job. Things go in and out very fast if you have an efficient boss. But as for today, I was getting a lot of quotations for flights. And nowadays, it's so competitive. Well, it's sometimes fun to enquire about stuff. To get which is cheaper and then you rush to decide to go for it. Kiasu I know.
But today, it's a good day to rest. So tired. So, will treat myself with Naruto. :P

Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant
So, as promised this is the review of the restaurant, Damansara Village Steamboat Restaurant. It seems to be the perfect day to eat steamboat when Malaysia was facing the wrath of Mother Nature for at least 2 hours. You all should know that it has been flooding everywhere lah. Anyway, a good nice hot pot would do the trick of raising people body's temperature.
Food was reasonable fresh. The key of a good restaurant is fresh when you are doing seafood. I just hate it when my prawn, crab and especially fish which a certain mud smell and being told that it was fresh and from the sea. Though whoever do that to me or to my family, we will certainly boycott that restaurant forever.
Anyhow, they had a variety of seafood and all were good. We had salmon ball, giant clams, red snapper, scallops, abalone, mussels and vegetable. Even the prawns were basically jumping. So yum yum.
Here are a few pictures taken. But errrrrr, I keep forgetting to take pictures la. So hungry then. I would go back for sure to even eat more.

Longkang fishing. But errrrrrrr, mostly died la the fish there. Must be the devil kids giving the fish an heart attack.

Selamat Hari Haji
Obviously, I don't celebrate this but I gotta love the food around this time. With people burning lemang and making rendang along the road side, it's just soooooooo good. Not going to complain about that.
As usual, it's a public holiday here and I went with my dad to the temple. But I saw so many cute bunnies. Sorry no pictures but man, I'm going to tangkap pictures of them. Okay la. I don't have an intention to cook them okay Siew Ping. Hahahahaha. Though, I think there is satay rabbit in Kajang wor.
But I will be going to makan in Patrick Teo's steamboat place. So, will be making a post on them.

Nasi Lemak
That's all I can say for tonight's dinner. Hehehe. Well, it was great and couldn't ask for more. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Sorry no pictures. Was too hungry. :P
After Lunch
So much for planning to have a day off today. I know it's a bit fast to get a day off but I wasn't really planning to come mah because I can't really learn much for today.
Hmmmmmm. Just came back from a secretary lunch. Yes, SECRETARY. Not that I'm complaining as lunch was delicious. But as for now, it's quite boring. Just checking for emails and printing them out. And of course type letters out too since my typing skills are beyond expectations man. Don't play play.
But I still have to make THE decision to do with my life at the moment. Whether to persue my plane crazy dream which is crashing and burning very fast or become an engineer in any other field.
How la people. Why can't money grow on trees leh. :P

Money Is So Good
Money money money. Okay. I shouldn't be blurting this out but hey where and when do I ever get money into my life. Those who knows me ya la man. Hahaha. Anyway, I suppose it feels real good to have. Of course, I'm still not going to the banking industry due to the large payout. And hey who said that engineering pay is quite bad. We(the industry in Norway of course) are up to par with the acoounting firms in London. So, there you have it.
Afterall, recent months has shown that banking and the finance world is suffering quite badly due to the credit crunch in the States. SEE!!! Banking is horrible and unpredictable!!! To make it worse, when it's hit hard, it's really hit hard. Oh well, as you all have recently heard me, OIL AND GAS is the way. Well, for our generation anyway. So, do it while you can. ;)

Guang Liang - Lian (戀)
Once again, I'm hooked to a song. Guess what. It's Guang Liang again. Sorry la if I like him. :) Enjoy! Oh yea, nice MV for Malaysia too.
Work Work
Ah ha. So, I'm back in the work force so to speak. I'm just here for an 'experience' to watch how does a high level management really works. Okay. It's not like Donald Trump saying, 'You're Fired' on the spot. The world isn't like that. As for now, I will be going out for lunch.
The best part is that it's going to be half day for me. Kekekeke.

Monday Eh?
Today was another Malaysian day. Eating lor. But in moderation of course. We headed off to One Utama to get some Christmas presents and I got a few things too. I got a new shirt. And a wallet for my dad which also became mine. Well, it was a nice plot on my part. Muahahahaha.
Anyway, I had a good pei tan sau yuk chok in Oriental Cravings. It was nice and yummy. And as for dinner, I just love mee hoon kuay. Dunno why even though it was just dough. Kakakaka.
Another point is that I will be working for free tomorrow. Oh well, just want to see how a business run. Better to have some experiences than nothing. :)

Sunday Okay La
Well, it was an okay Sunday to be honest. Everyone was screaming their heads off and I was just in mute mode. I can't really be bothered to talk much these days. I'm hearing the same old stuff. I just run away to somewhere so that I can't hear all of these.
Which reminds me that there is a bus from Mont Kiara to Singapore and it drops me off at my place. Even better still. Will report on it if I go down to Singapore. :P
And also, we headed off to The Gardens. It was a super city. The amount of cars and people is just unbelievable. Go Malaysia!!! Shop till you drop!!!

PMS
It's here again. What was suppose to be a nice dinner turned out to be a sour gloomy dinner. I was quite looking forward to this dinner but then this had to happen. Even my meal tasted below average and it was suppose to be good. I just had a calamari and prawn and scallop salad.
Thank goodness I have the tummy infection as an excuse for the bad mood.
Thank goodness I have the tummy infection as an excuse for the bad mood.
LARD ALERT!!!
OH MY GOD!!! I just ate the worst tan tart ever. It's a store in a kopitiam in MPPJ. Never in my life I had to make a comment like this. I was practically eating LARD!!! How can anyone in the world like it and say, 'YA MAN, IT'S THE BEST!' He or she must be the fattest person in the world or relative to a pig.
The after taste of the tart was so bad you can die one okay. You can feel your arteries clogging up too. It's like I have drunk a litre of lard. I think that's enough pork for me this year. SERIOUS!!!
On the side note, all the restaurants today are so fully booked. I can't get a reservation and it's a nightmare. I suppose it's the weekend and the school holidays. Everyone wants to eat eat eat. Just like me. :P

BMSM 45th Anniversary Vegetarian Dinner
Since my dad was the organising chairman for this event and I being a GOOD son, I attended this dinner. As usual, it's a vegetarian dinner and I had loads of food. I wasn't being greed(mind you I'm already on my diet) but the table we had only 7 then 5 then 4 people at the end of the event. So, you can see that there would be loads of food. Less man more share that's my motto. :P
I would say congratulations and all the best for the society in their events and activities in their near future. I will post some pictures later on.

Fire Thursday
Well, my tummy is on fire. Just ate Indian food and wahhhhhh. Well, it was in moderation of course. I hope that my tummy can recover soon. I'm almost done reading with my Eldest by Christopher Paolini, one of the rare books I ever read.

Cheng Chun Is Sick
Okay. I didn't need to say this out loud but I'm sakit la. Hahahaha. Just having a tummy infection and apparently it's quite common within people. Could it be due to the food I cooked in Norway. But I was eating well and all my food was well prepared. But oh well, you never know that bacterias can be jumping up and down from somewhere.
Anyway, the doctor I saw is from University Hospital and the hospital is like a pasar. Either way, I'm on a course on antibiotics for 2 weeks and some other pills. Just hope I do recover soon to start my eating galore. Glutton eh? :P

Oh Wednesday!!!
Today seems to a bit of bore. I have to meet with a gastrologist to see my upset tummy for the past 6 months. Yes, I know I should have seen a doctor waaaaaaaaaaay before that but I think this is quite severe. I don't think it's got to do with the Malaysian food being errrrr 'dirty' but I had this problem since in the UK. Oh well, we shall see what can be done.
As for the morning, I attended an AGM for my apartment. Unfortunately, it was postponed due to a lack of quota so it will be held next week same time at the same place. Discussions and dialouges were made and hmmmmmm, to be honest all for self-interest. What to do. Everyone wants to fight what is best for themselves.

Back to Malaysia
All good things have to come to an end. So, for this trip although it was short and fast, it was all worth it. I think I'm going overboard with travelling. Cool bananas. Hahahaha.
Anyway, here is Vancouver Airport. Top 3 airports in the world for the 15-25 million catergory. Though I'm superbly disappointed with the airport shops. The shops close at 8 p.m. How la to buy things. Ishhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Vancouver Day IV
So, this was my last day in Vancouver. My flight was at midnight, I guessed I had time to see more of Vancouver and do my last minute shopping. Either way, I decided to go for Round 2 at Vancouver city since the previous day the weather was quite dull and there wasn't a cloud in-sight.
But before that, I went shopping first of course. The Four Seasons was next to the Pacific Mall and Sears. It was the Christmas Sales, so I got 2 pyjamas and a shaving gel for my dad. Special one you know called H2o. It's definitely NOT water okay. I tested the product. Hehehehe. And it's a special brand from America.

Christmas tree competition.
After about 2 hours of shopping along Robson Street, the Oxford Street of Vancouver, I headed to the Stanley Park again. And tadda. These were the pictures I took. I think it's really nice. I'm quite proud of it since I'm still a noob at this.
The lady who took this picture was so fun. She said it was fun to exchange taking pictures. Oh well. :)
