Summer Is Finally Here

Finally, this is summer. The sky has a few clouds but at least it isn't raining. That's the most depressing thing you can have during summer. Even the production of summer fruits has becoming quite bad due to the extra rain. Oh well, I had to went out to do errands as usual before I head off to Norway.

p/s: No need pictures lah. Don't want to become like Siew Ping. :)

Breach

I'm have been extremely bored and wanted to watch as many shows before I head off to Norway. Anyway, this show okay okay lah. I mean it is all about espionage. Oh well, I get confused from time to time.

Realisation

Last night I had a dream. It was certainly very dark. All I remembered that I was back in VI and I had many premonitions about people's death and I was hunted down by the authorities. I woke up about 4 something and then went back to sleep. The dream continued me being caught and forced me to revealed my secret of my premonitions. People were still dying. Then, I was woken up again at 8 a.m by the sunlight. It blinded me and I hope I didn't get a tan too.

Well, that was certainly scary though I do at times have deva ju. It happened during my UPSR, meeting up with people, doing certain actions. This makes me whether I can dream about some lottery numbers yar. :D

Anyway, after waking up I just realised that whammmmm. I'm going to Norway soon and I will be all alone and will be starting work. I know I have been through it but now the stakes are higher than ever and I just have to go all out. I suppose I'm afraid to fail.

I haven't been in the right state and now I just feel like a grain of the sand in the ocean. Standing all alone by myself. I just miss my peeps. I really do.

The Nation's Favourite Food - Breakfast

It is the most important meal of the day. So here is the UK top national favourite food for breakfast after a survey.

Number 10 - Yogurt

The UK eat about 10 times than the weight of the Titanic a year. Well, I'm not too sure how much that is but it sounds a lot. But remember people, yogurt is bad for health because it has A LOT of sugar. We are not suppose to be eating any additional 'added' sugar in our daily diet.

Number 9 - Porridge

Well they don't mean rice porridge like Teo Chew Moi but oat porridge. Well, they seem to eat it with salt or sugar. Salt. Aiya.

Number 8 - Croissant

More than 1/3 UK people have it for breakfast and most of them are in Newcastle. Imperial Chocolate Croissants were good but now it is become so small. Well, I'm not there anymore.

Number 7 - Scamble Eggs

The amount of the UK people eat eggs a year can reach from Earth to the moon.

Number 6 - Bacon Sandwich

NO bacon sandwich with brown bread. Ming bai. Britians are the biggest eaters of bacon in Europe. I wouldn't surprised if the Americans are the world's largest eaters of bacon. :)

Number 5 - Fruits

No word rhymes with orange. And apples are better than coffee to wake up a person. Give it a try coffee lovers. :D

Number 4 - Coffee

Wake up with it or drink it. The first coffee shop in the UK was in the1650 . Coffee pushed tea out of the list of beverages in the morning.

Number 3 - Toast

Most Scots voted more than anyone. Marmalade i.e. orange jam is the only jam given a special name. Cool fact, huh?

Number 2 - Cereal

Food and liquid all in one. The brits eat the most in Europe about 4 million bowls everyday. Wheatbix at the top. No two cornflakes look the same. Is it?

Number 1 - Full English

It's the Daddy of all breakfast. Bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, fried bread, mushrooms, eggs, bake beans, black pudding. I totally agree with this. This makes me very happy.

MacGyver

My goodness. I'm addicted to this show when I was really young. Damn, it hurts when I keep saying when I was young(yea yea, Heng Kai and Siew Ping, you all younger la!!! So, don't rub it in)

Played by Richard Dean Anderson, MacGyver uses all the science to get away from trouble. Actually, all of that we learned itin school. Though I'm just a bit amazed and in awe with all the application he can do within a few mintues and the pressure. Oh well, one of my memories of my childhood.

Transformers

Oh my god. Never in my life I would say this for an old cartoon which I absolutely adore and idolise when I was small, but crap, the show is good. The animation was great and the storyline was not too bad. The reviews for this so far is very good and I agree with it.

I had to download this show too because it will only be out by the end of July in the UK. THANKS A LOT UK for being one of the most developed countries in the world and you can't be the first to preview these American shows. Wankers they are. :P

The only thing which I didn't like was I wanted MORE TRANSFORMERS!!! :D That's my only complaint. I always wondered why the Decepticons get more canggih machines and the Autobots getting cars most of the time. :)

Transformers. More than it meets the eyes!

Always wanted to say that. I don't really mind watching it again in the cinema with the loud noise and all. My download copy wasn't that great.

- Update -

Right. I went to watch the advance preview of this show(Stupid UK will be showing this next week!!!). Actually, this time I get to watch everything clearly and the action. Well, so much for piracy. :)

Anyway, I went out with Brian to watch this movie. We both agreed that it is just a 'brainless' movie but it is definitely entertaining. No plot which is just Transformers. It is all about the mecha. The audience too were so excited when the robots transformed etc. Those are hardcore and at the end of the movie, there were claps.

A Michael Bay Marathon

Don't know why all the movies I'm watching today are all by Michael Bay. Hahaha. I'm quite surprised. Well, I wonder Seba will be proud of me.
  1. Transformers in the afternoon. Very good fun.
  2. The Rock. Classic military show.
  3. Pearl Harbour. I don't know what to say. Whether it's the love story or the battles. But I love the soundtrack.
Syiok!!! :D

Potter Mania

Okay la. This might sound sad that I went to the launch of the new Harry Potter book by myself but wei, I'm so bored here la!!! Not to mention, I swore that I would make it for a launch of a Harry Potter book if I'm in the UK and I did it. I would have done it back in Malaysia at 7 a.m but I don't think my Mom would be too please with me. :)

Anyway, it was pretty exciting to see many people queueing up for nearly 2 days to get a hold of a copy. I myself will be waiting for my book in the post. I have to give to my sister to read it first because she is on a busy time schedule that she has to read it first. After that, I have the whole week to read it before I head off to Norway.

I was at Borders at Oxford Circus about 1 1/2 hours early and took my time reading the old Potter books and had a nice cup of Starbucks. The atmosphere was quite wizardy even there was a painter to paint faces. Obviously, I didn't get a lighting bolt on my forehead okay. I'm NOT that crazy. And besides I'm old already(Cough all you like people!!!)

People camping.

Harry Potter.

They were the first to queue for nearly 2 days. Hardcore man.

Wand duelling. Kekeke.

Some entertainment.

Witches. Though one has the Sorting Hat.

Mad rush to get it.

From Gryffindor.

And the book itself.

After 15 minutes, the queue was still at Oxford Circus tube station. Yikes.

Happy Birthday Heng Kai

Happy Birthday Heng Kai.

It has been about 11 months I have known you. I still remember the first time speaking to you on MSN and you weren't shy at all voicing out your concerns about Imperial, what to expect and being in London. You were also bold enough to meet me in Midvalley after about a few chats. Our first encounter was really funny and my famous quote 'You look like a senior.'

So, the first term you were trying to settle in and I bet you did quite well adapting to your new environment. You loved Beit Hall which was basically across Imperial(well, my department at least) and attending your lectures at your leisure. And of course you have your Gothic roommate.

It was really sweet of you to celebrate my birthday dinner with me eventhough you were busy. I know I had a dateline the day after too. But food comes first right. ;)

Man, you look so young. Thanks again for coming.

Then, came me going over to Norway which was quite hard for me leaving a lot of things behind. At that point I regretted going to Norway. My first thought of going abroad was because I had nothing in London as most of my friends had graduated. However, you helped me through those tough times. You certainly changed my mind and attitude.

I shall pass the emo and jiwang stuff I faced when I was in Norway and came MNight which I flew back. You were amazing on stage by the way and I wouldn't missed it for the anything. I'm still pissed that I missed you after the show.

Here in Mandarin Kitchen and I won the bet. I told you I never lose a bet. I should have wagered more. :)

Anyway, during my 4 months in Norway, I managed to find a long lost little brother. Even my Norwegian friends congratulated me for finding one. To be honest, I was shocked them congratulating me and it was quite funny.

I can't put in words for how much you have helped me, Kai. You are always lost when I say thanks for helping me out in everything. And you know what. You definitely have been right and during that times, you were the older brother. :D And I also apologise for the dumb questions and the disturbance I give you all the time.

My last day for my holidays in March. I know very lame taking a picture at the Queen's Tower.

And my last day for the Easter holidays. I think that would be the best Easter break I had bunking at your place.

Once again Heng Kai, Happy 19th Birthday. I'm sure you will have a great day and sorry I can't make it back. You know I would love to be there. Well, I'm sure you would have a handful of things to do. Have fun Little Brother!

Miss Potter

Miss Beatrix Potter. Her story books are the best seller children's book of all time. Though I have to say Harry Potter might be catching up soon. The movie was okay but I expected something more special. I suppose it was based on her life story.

But she is one of the richest woman of all time during that era. She managed to buy about 4000 acres of land in Lake District and she gave it to the National Trust. This legacy helped to ensure that the beauty of the Lake District and the practice of fell farming remain uspoiled to this day. Damn powerful man. :P

Happy Birthday Siew Ping

Happy Birthday Siew Ping.

I'm really sorry that I won't be back to celebrate your birthday. Though I also fear I might get lost going to PD too. And I don't want to get sulphure poisoning too. :P

Anyway, the first time I heard(more like met) you was on Skype and you were surely very scary with your laughter. I still get goosebumps when I hear that sound of malice. And sorry la ah, I still haven't gotten you a doughnut yet but you la never around one. :)

You have been an exceptional friend. You always picked me up when I'm down and also made me even crazier when I was in Norway. I don't think I have met a person like you who laughs all the time at the smallest things. You are definitely one of the most cheerful person ever. Though you are cruel forcing me to sing to entertain you. But since this is your day should I sing you 'You are 20 going on 21" ah?

However, I don't think I'm going to tell about the experience being 21 and I'm NOT old okay. :) But yes I do admit I don't think right at times. Though I'm very thankful and may be not influencing me going into photography and becoming your alarm clock, it certainly did me some good. :D

Once again Happy 21st Birthday and hope you have a great day.

Pictures of the Birthday Girl. :)

Here is my gift to you. :P

Two Days of Fun

The day before I supposedly fly off to Norway turned out pretty good. 10 of us(Me, Shea Maine, Winston, Joanne, Wei Shen, Yeo Soon, Edwin, Jenn Shuinn, Jeffery and a new found friend Sandy) met up at Four Seasons though we had a mini request for no Chinese.

Me, Shea Maine, Winston and Joanne.

Jeffery, Wei Shen, Yeo Soon, Edwin and Jenn Shuinn.

We outside the restaurant getting ready to makan duckie duck. And ah! My new found friend, Sandy.

Come to think of it this was a gathering for all Concordians. The seniors, Shea Maine, Me, Jenn Shuinn and Edwin. And with the juniors, Wei Shen, Winston, Joanne and Jeffery. Talking all about the good old times.

Next, we went to Fredv for a drink near Tottenham Court Road. I had a margarita for the first time and it was yummy.

CHEERS! We had a variety. Seven Heavens, Margaritas, Planters Punchs and Mojitos.

Sandy and I. So poser la she. :P

Shea Maine, Edwin and Jeffery. Actually, they came from the hospital. To be doctors lah. :)

So, today, the 5 of us went for Korean. However, it was closed for something. Aihhhhhhhh. I was so looking forward to eating Korean. But we made our way to New Oxford Street and stumbled at this Chinese Restaurant serving Siew Long Pau. Yummmmmmy. :)

This was after lunch after we were fueled up. I don't know why I looked so happy. Lol.

And Wei Shen and I. Seriously. I don't really know why we look so happy. Must be the sugar rush. :)

All in all, the past 2 days has been quite fun and at least I had something to do too. Thanks guys.

Norway, We Have A Problem!

I think I just killed my summer. I just found out that I needed a work permit to go to Norway and now I have been delayed to go there. Therefore, why I said I killed my summer? I could have gone back to Malaysia and spent at least 4-5 weeks just being with my parents, eating away all my goodie food before I suffer.

Aihhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I feel so depressed now and I need a good eat out to make me happy again I hope. Just the thought of me not going back to Malaysia this summer is driving me a bit over the mountain. I just wasted about 4 weeks doing nothing other than finding a summer job.

I want to talk to someone lar.

Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix

Harry Potter. From the first 200 books sold in a small town to at least 150 millions book sold world wide, it certainly has been phenomenon. Anyway, the movie was quite good. I believe it's slightly more matured than the others and it kinda followed the book. Wand dueling was good and CGI for this one was good. I have always been a Potter fan and it was well directed.

But the cinema was filled with tonnes of children. Talking, laughing away and throwing popcorn. They were seriously annoying and I wish they rot in hell. :P

Okay. Time for me to read the book again and hopefully, I can get to read Harry Potter and The Deadly Hollows next week.

Live Free or Die Hard

WOW!!! First time I really liked an action pack movie by Bruce Willis. Being John McClane in the other Die Hards, this has been quite very different. I think this time with more stunts and CGI, they made some stunts quite impossible to be even possible.

But what makes me think is the possibility of hackers hacking into systems crippling everything like Wall Street and DoD. Scary.

Either way, I think this is a must watch movie for this summer.

Day 2

Day 2. Another day of funful shopping. Just went out for 2 hours and I got a pair of trousers and shoes. So, I think I'm already completed for my work. All I need now is to get some shirts not too colourful.

Now, I'm checking for iPod speakers. Any recommendations tech people out there? Really need to get an idea what's good out there. Thanks.

Shop Till I Drop

Today this week is the first day of my shopping spree. I have to get some shirts and trousers for work. These are just a trial-out for me and when I get a permanent job then I will go a bit up. Those who know me, you know what I like to go for. :P

Well, I started at 12 p.m and shopped till 4 p.m. I always love a good shopping spree. It makes me happy. I know it sounds so gay but hey, new clothes means new image man. :)

So, I got 4 pairs of trousers(3 from Next and 1 from M&S) and will might be returning the M&S one. It's a bit of colour. You know I hate shops where they have a certain light which is different compared to sunlight. After you have purchased your clothes, you noticed that the colour isn't the same as you imagine. Aihhhhhhhh.

I also got 2 shirts, 4 pairs of socks and a brolli for my sister. Hers was on the verge of destruction so I had to get one for her.

My next shopping item on my list is just a few more trousers, some strips or checkered shirts(though they make me look like Forest Gump) and a pair of shoes. Wish me luck.

Sports Mania

There were so many major sporting events happening today in UK. This is like overdose of sporting events.

The first sporting event which started for the day was Formula One in Silverstone. The starting was good as usual but the pit-stops made the whole difference. In the end, Kimi Raikkonen won. Yay!!! Hamilton from the UK obviously got a big cheer when he got onto the podium. British, what to do.

Kimi Raikkonen. The promising Finn. :)

Then it was Wimbledon. The most famous grass court tennis tournament in the world. As I told you all, Changyong and I went for it and it was great. Today's singles men match was great. It was between Federer and Naval. The next match in Centre Court was the mix doubles. It was just wow. This was the first time I'm seeing a match where it was really enjoyable instead of being so stressed. :)

Roger Federer winning for the 5th time in a row.

Jamie Murray and Jelena Jankovic. The underdogs. Good game and entertaining. Oh yea, Murray is the first British to win a Wimbledon title in 20 years. Oh wow.

The Tour de France, the second most watched sporting event after the World Cup. Did you know that? I wished I could have seen a bit of it since it was around Hyde Park. I would have joined about 500,000 people. But I decided not to because it would be havoc and I wanted to watch tennis.

I was flipping channels furiously between these 3 sports. Poor remote control.

Ratatouille

KAWAIIIIIIIIIII!!! Okay I sound like Siew Ping but then the blue mouse is absolutely cute. All I have to say about this cartoon that it is GREAT. I haven't had a good laugh for some time watching animation. I know there was Shrek but it was a bit cliche. Either way, I had to download it because it won't be out in the UK till December!!! How sad can we Brit be!!!

Great job Disney and Pixar. As usual the hair on the mouse looks real etc.

Today

Cencaluk Chicken for tonight's dinner. Well, I had to use up tonnes of stuff now in the fridge. Oh yea, I made my lemon cheesecake. I'm quite happy with it. It could have been slightly sweeter and lemony but it is better to eat things less sweet.

At the moment, I'm not feeling too well. I keep getting headaches these days though today I think I have been lacking of sleep. Also, I'm slightly depressed. Aihhhhhhhhh.

Wimbledon

FINALLY!!! After being in this country for 6 years, I managed to watch the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. It was really a spontaneous trip to go down to Wimbledon and watch tennis. I would say this would be my first time watching a live game sport. I'm naturally a lazy person not doing any sports. But hey, I do enjoy watching GOOD sports. :)

So, basically Changyong wanted to do this before he heads back to Singapore for good and since the event was around the corner, we said let's go. Our journey to Wimbledon was short and to my amazement, it was very well organised. They have bus services to the courts and taxis too at a flat rate. Well, since I'm still young I think it would be wise to use the youth in me to walk. :P

The queue for the tickets weren't existent and after a debate we decided to buy tickets for Court 2 seating tickets. It was 31 pounds. I know it sounds a bit expensive but hey, it is once in a life time to watch it.

So our first match was Ana Ivanovic versus Nadia Petrova. We were slightly late as we missed out 5 sets but it was all good. The next 2 games were spectacular. I couldn't believe the difference watching a tennis game at home compared watching it live. My heart was beating so fast and the adrenaline as a spectator was just intense.

Well, if you watched that match, I was on TV. Just look out for a person in grey jacket with a blue t-shirt. :)

Centre Court. They don't have a roof this year.

Court 2. But then it rained a lot which disrupted play. :(

Ana Ivanovic serves. Cantik!!! :P

Changyong and I at Court 2. Our seats were the second row from the court. So good. :P

Ana Ivanovic which I supported won. :P

The second match was Nicolas Kiefer against Novak Djokovic. There is big difference when the gentlemen play. The ball goes much faster and the strength they have. Waaaaaaaaaaah!

Nicolas Kiefer.

Novak Djokovic.

Everyone finding for shelter as there was thunder and lighting. :)

Inflated balloon to keep the grass dry. I didn't know they had this feature.

Pee ka booo. :P

We were suppose to watch this match but it was cancelled to the shit weather. So close yet so far. :(

We at Court 3 now. Hated the stupid French kids behind us.

Double rainbow if you can see if it. But to my surprise, I didn't know rainbow can have 2 types of colour series'. Like the rainbow on the left is from Blue to Red and the right is from Red to Blue. Cool. :P

And our day ended. Though it was just for only than 2 hours. :(

Oh yea, I had Cornish Pasty and a Pimp while I had fish and chips for dinner. All in all, this trip or outing was very nice. I spent it with a good buddy and the games were nice to watch. So, I think this is one of the things I would have watch before I die and I did. :P
