Destination: Vancouver, Canada

Okay. This was really last minute. I got my confirmation like 6.30 p.m and I was flying off the next day at 9 a.m. Talking about living on the fast life. Anyway, this trip was purely to ensure my dad had a safe trip to Canada so I volunteered (yea yea, stop rolling your eyes people!!!) to go with him there as he had some business.

Either way, it was always good to be back in Vancouver. However, at this moment me writing this post, I'm extremely tired because the time difference between Malaysia and Vancouver is 16 hours. What a headache that was trying to adjust to the time there.

Here are some tasters for my trip. :)

Oh yea, I got upgraded to Business Class too. Yay!!!

Business Class. :)

Hong Kong International Airport or better known to be Chek Lap Kok Airport.

This is the biggest airport terminal in the world. It takes 25 minutes to walk from one end to the other.

And waiting for the next plane to Vancouver.

Selamat Pulang

Yarrrrrrrrr. I'm back. But I'm so tired. Hmmmmmmmmm. My bed seems to be calling me. Oh well, I shall answer that first.

No worries. Definitely will post one. Hope you didn't miss me.

So much for resting in Malaysia. Okay peeps. I will be going off to Canada tomorrow. Now, this is sooooooo not me going on a trip like this but I'm suppose to take care off my dad.

Till then. ;)

Singapore III

So, after graduation, I had plans to meet up with my family friends to give some presents. They decided to have dinner in a pub/bar which was really really nice. The pizzas were awesome and atmosphere. But then another taxi story. Well, this one wasn't that bad. At least he knew where Armenian Street was though I think he wasn't that sure. But I think he agak-agak la. But I was there. :P

Actually, I was there early by 30 minutes because I just so paranoid that taxis will get me lost. That uncle I tell you. So, I was observing places around the area. We have the errrrrr Art Museum ah. Eh, Singaporean, please tell me what it is. :P

Loads of people though.

And the bar.

Bi-Tuyen, me and Sebastian. They are my long long long distant relatives too from Paris. They are just so funny. :P

Esplanade. The durian konon.

Shea Maine looked tipsy d.

Skyline of Singapore.

Shea-Maine and I. Hmmmmmmmmm. Cam-whores la. :P

That's where the casinos will be built.

Errrrrr. The Singapore Eye is somewhere there la. :P

No fair one. My merlion stop spitting water!!! He shy la for a close-up. :(

The guest from Australia, Vicki. It was great to see her again.

Back to Malaysia. Aihhhhhhhhhhhh.

So as usual, I will make a conclusion. I certainly enjoyed my time in Singapore and definitely was super duper happy after it. Meeting up with great friends and it's just so fun la. I will be back soon enough. ;)

Graduation in Singapore

Tadda. Graduation all over again.

Well, before we get into the glorious details of the event, let me say I was so pissed with the taxi uncle who took me from the hotel to University Culture Centre(UCC) in NUS. I asked him to go to UCC for the event and he asked me where was it? I'm like, 'Hello Uncle, I'm not the taxi driver and I'm not from Singapore either!!!' Luckily, the night before, Changyong told me that it was near Beuno Vista. So, I just blurted that out and he was like ok.

Then we got to Beuno Vista and he asked me again, where the building was? HELLO!!! MALAYSIAN HERE!!! I had no idea where the building was and NUS for that matter!!! Nevermind, I said keep driving into NUS where we passed University Hospital and such and was getting deeper and deeper into NUS. Still couldn't find it and no directions(need to improve on that NUS).

Anyway, after like 10 minutes, we were at this big new building which I initially spotted Culture Centre and I asked him to stop. So much for my taxi fare. Blah.

So let's move on to the main event. Graduation here was definitely much more simple but I suppose it had a touch of Imperial with the banners and the stewardess with their robes. Even the robes were slightly different but the main difference was the mortar board i.e. the graduation hat you toss in the air!!!

The first two arrivals. :)

Yes. Asia Convocation!!!

Okay we had a small small theatre. Talking about 200 people at most.

And those were their boxes. Okay. Now, that's quite a small scale compared to Royal Albert Hall.

Yay. The mortar board!!!

I would say very close to the Rector leh. :P

Felix.

These were the amount of people who attended from Aero. Oh well. It's all Chinese!!!

Changyong definitely made a grand entrace for entering with the Rector and such. He is just great.

Still remember this famous picture. I got many good and crazy remarks about this. :P

Then after errrmmmmm about 1 year later, we became this.

The 3 of us now. From that to this. Amazing!

Though I had some other pictures which I need to dig from other people. It's sure going to be a nice one. ;) Overall, the event was a simple and nice one. Just graduating with the other 2 Singaporeans was great and just tonnes of fun. Not to mention, boiling under 3 layers of clothes and under the Singapore sun. But it was worth it.

Singapore II

So, before I get going with the graduation which was at 2.30 p.m, I decided to make a quick shopping spree in Singapore. I know. Talking about REALLY last minute here. I started off at 9 a.m. at Orchard Road(though most of the shops weren't open yet), so I had a light breakfast in Ah Mei Kopitiam in Paragon.

And since I was that early and killing the time, I went around as a tourist, ahem ahem and took some pictures. Well, you know, these days, I can't go out without my camera. But the worst part about Singapore which I often hate is that the humidity is about 60-70% all the time. Basically, you will be melting like butter if you are out under the shade for at least 5 minutes. So, as you can imagine that I was really really trying very hard not to melt while taking pictures.

Looks like there is a new shopping mall.

Hazardous photo taking pictures here.

C.k Tangs and Marriott. My favourite hotel.

Whellock Place.

Shaw Centre.

Paragon with its big Christmas tree.

Takashimaya.

My new slippers!!!

And my new bag. :)

So, that was done in 1 1/2 hours. Not bad eh! I had to prepare for the day to come which was the most important.

Singapore

Let me give you guys a taste of Singapore. I'm very very tired since I had a night out before I left for the 5 hour journey back. So, this will suffice for now. :)

So, as usual my journey began from the train station sitting on the NICE bus. It was a comfortable bus where everyone had their own individual TV and headset. Unfortunately, my headphone plug insert was kinda damaged so I was TVless for 5 hours. But not to worry, there was always Mr iPod to keep my happy.

After checking in and out of the immigrations on both sides, we dashed off to the hotel and I checked-in. It seemed that the hotel was fully booked and I was upgraded to a superior suite. Ho ho ho. Well well, I wished that was the case if I was in the Marriott eh. Anyway, I settled in quick and immediately headed off to Orchard Road for my shopping. That's another story to be told. ;)

Christmas tree in the hotel. :P

I was upgraded to a superior suite. Oh well, can't complain about that.

Anyway, meeting up with Changyong for dinner was just great. He being a bit late due to the jam in Singapore(Yes, it's getting worse by the years! Bad Singapore! What happened to you!) and we headed off to run one errand for Changyong. To collect his trousers. Talking about last minute. But he was still sexy in his suit yes yes. :P

We then headed off to Suntec City for food since it was a bit late then and also they had tonnes of food too. So, there we had some steamed chicken with ginger, tofu prawns(mild hot as I quote) and sweet potato leaves. Mmmmmmmmmm. Nice nice. But the highlight of the day was the underground parking system in Suntec. It's so good and futuristic. Well, duh!!!

The restaurant.

If you can see the red and green lights on top of the roof, those are the indicators whether there is a empty carpark. Green for yes and red for no. Isn't it that smart!!!

And that was the end of day I.

I'm Back

Did you guys miss me?!?! Well, I have some things to write but first it's crabbing time!!! :P
