Happy

Well, kinda feel good today. You will never guess it. I paid for my parent's meal today. Muahahahahahahahahahaha. I know it's a bit too late since I got back but hey, better than nothing man. We had dim sum at our favourite place in Concorde Hotel and the food was still good. The best part after eating so much, the bill came up to 23 pounds at most.

It's so cool to be earning in Norwegian Krones.

Resolution 2008

Ahhhhhhhh. A new year. A new resolution. So, hmmmmmmmmm let's see what I want to be better this year.
  1. To work. Well, I'm in the midst of that now and got a feel how working life was last year in September and end of the year. So, it's time to step up.
  2. To lose weight. This is a big priority for me. Have been pigging out to the max here. Never in my life I added so much weight so fast. Anyhow, lost 3 kgs in 5 days and plan to lose another 3 kgs if possible.
  3. To be more patient. Prior to last year's end, I get so annoyed with the slightest error or anything. I suppose it was the pressure from everyone and the wedding.
  4. To be more understanding. I think there is always more room for improvements for everyone to understand more and more every year whether it's your family, friends and loved ones.
  5. To give it my all. Well, should be doing that for everything right? Hehehe. Will definitely put in more effort.
I think that's quite a lot for the year. What are your's people? :)

The Decision

I have decided to stay back in Malaysia. I have not told many people yet but I think my family needs me here. So hopefully, I'm doing the right thing. May I find the right work place and life here.

Graduation in Singapore

Tadda. Graduation all over again.

Well, before we get into the glorious details of the event, let me say I was so pissed with the taxi uncle who took me from the hotel to University Culture Centre(UCC) in NUS. I asked him to go to UCC for the event and he asked me where was it? I'm like, 'Hello Uncle, I'm not the taxi driver and I'm not from Singapore either!!!' Luckily, the night before, Changyong told me that it was near Beuno Vista. So, I just blurted that out and he was like ok.

Then we got to Beuno Vista and he asked me again, where the building was? HELLO!!! MALAYSIAN HERE!!! I had no idea where the building was and NUS for that matter!!! Nevermind, I said keep driving into NUS where we passed University Hospital and such and was getting deeper and deeper into NUS. Still couldn't find it and no directions(need to improve on that NUS).

Anyway, after like 10 minutes, we were at this big new building which I initially spotted Culture Centre and I asked him to stop. So much for my taxi fare. Blah.

So let's move on to the main event. Graduation here was definitely much more simple but I suppose it had a touch of Imperial with the banners and the stewardess with their robes. Even the robes were slightly different but the main difference was the mortar board i.e. the graduation hat you toss in the air!!!

The first two arrivals. :)

Yes. Asia Convocation!!!

Okay we had a small small theatre. Talking about 200 people at most.

And those were their boxes. Okay. Now, that's quite a small scale compared to Royal Albert Hall.

Yay. The mortar board!!!

I would say very close to the Rector leh. :P

Felix.

These were the amount of people who attended from Aero. Oh well. It's all Chinese!!!

Changyong definitely made a grand entrace for entering with the Rector and such. He is just great.

Still remember this famous picture. I got many good and crazy remarks about this. :P

Then after errrmmmmm about 1 year later, we became this.

The 3 of us now. From that to this. Amazing!

Though I had some other pictures which I need to dig from other people. It's sure going to be a nice one. ;) Overall, the event was a simple and nice one. Just graduating with the other 2 Singaporeans was great and just tonnes of fun. Not to mention, boiling under 3 layers of clothes and under the Singapore sun. But it was worth it.

Another birthday treat. Another birthday dinner. It's all so yummy and pretty. Thank you so much uncles and aunties, guys and girls. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Last night, we went to a Thai restaurant in Pan Global were Luna Bar was. The restaurant was fine dining and the food was nice. It's suppose to be the Top 100 restaurants in Malaysia and I think it should be there. The appetisers were great and overall, yum yum. When it comes to Thai food, I will say yes one. So you know where to take me lah ah peeps. :P

An End to A Great Day

Today was certainly one of the best birthdays. I ate, drank and ate again. What can you do in KL la besides not eating. So, after a fast dinner from my family, I was getting ready for a series marathon. Then I get a call from my good old buddy, Yew Kuan and they wanted to bring me out for a drink. So, I said why not.

It took us some time to decide where to go for a drink and to have a cake. Nevertheless, I suggested to go to Sky Bar in Traders Hotel since I have been yearning to go to the bar ever since. So, I took this opportunity to go. And once again, I was so under-dressed!!! I can't believe that I been under-dressed twice in a month.

This is so embarrassing for me because I nearly got kicked out from the bar because I was under-dressed lor. I said I was a guest from the hotel and it was my birthday. Well, of course the latter was true but not the first one. Hehehe. Anyway, luckily they had the casual 'part' at the bar for anyone like me a surfer dude with my super big Hawaiian shorts. We got an inner table which was not too bad but later on moved to a nicer view of the KLCC. I suppose this was my lucky day.

Anyhow, we had drinks. Let's see. I had a Breakfast martini and a Flaming Lamborghini. I tell you it was so great and nice. Presentation was excellent. They said to drink it as fast as possible. So, I really did. OF COURSE NOT drinking the fire okay. I'm not THAT DRUNK yet. And to end my alcohol aftertaste, I had a Shirley Temple. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Burn the alcohol first.

Was just thinking what in the world was the tall bottle for.

Fire away!!! :P Though I was so proud that the waiter said I was good at drinking this. Hahahaha.

Our view from our seats. Not bad eh.

My great 2 pals. Jia Jer and Yew Kuan. You are the best guys.

So, what a perfect end to my birthday. Simple yet great and nice.

Oh wait, I haven't finished there yet. We went around KL again to find food thanks to Mr Chen and we went to Kedai Hokkien Mee near VI. Talking about food. It was yummy. Hehehe.

p/s: Sorry ya. Quality of the pictures no good due to the camera phone I had. Better than nothing.

Thank You So Much

Thank you very much for the wishes guys and girls. It really means a lot to me and definitely I will try to celebrate my birthday to the fullest.

It has been a long time I have celebrated my birthday back in Malaysia(6 years to be exact) and so far, I can say it's really great. Relaxing, slow and easy. You know those kind of days. Not that I'm not really experiencing super-stress related working problems at the moment.

I wonder is there more to come?

It's time. After more than 1 year of preparation, it comes down to this. Wish my entire family good luck and hope we can stick together through this happy ordeal.

Signing off for 36 hours.

Mobile At Last!!!

I got a new toy for the house and it's a wireless router. The only problem I have is with the router is that the radius is too short to reach my room!!! I suppose it said 100 metres without walls and such and my room is like 26 metres away from the router with those of obstacles. So it's quite a long and hard way.

It just has been a long long day and I would like to rest a bit. I got some pretty pictures of course. :)

At The End of the Tunnel

Actually, it has been a long time I have been this jiwang and seriously, I think we need to create anti-jiwang pills. Well, I suppose they have anti-depressant pills but that is just too hardcore. Nanti, I masuk Tanjung Rambutan that won't be pretty. Lol.

However, now I feel much better. The root of the sadness has been weeded out and looks like the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter.

Man, I do suck at metaphors.

Anyhow, you just know when to pick me up when I'm down and sad eventhough it was a short advice.
Thanks a lot Kai.

Just Angry

Freak man. I'm just so angry at myself that I can't even sleep. My goodness. I'm just some lunatic who thinks I can live with the past. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I'm feeling so sad and depressed now.

Teeth Trouble

Facial-ah

Today was my first facial ever. Hahahahahahaha. I know that sounded just wrong but oh well, nowadays guys need to groom themselves to be more presentable. You know women can be very particular and such. I don't think most girls would like a pizza-crater guy face(no offense to those but it's not your fault, it's the bacteria or virus which is causing your acne!!!). Do you see Brad Pitt having acne?

Where got spots one?!?!?! See. :P

Anyway, it was quite relaxing just to sit there where they just clean your face and tone it I suppose. However, I didn't know that it was quite long about 2 hours. I really needed to go to the toilet then. Don't think it would be good to be going out of the shop with a big white face and cucumbers on the eyes. Just kidding. No cucumbers of course.

Graduation

So, here it is. Well, some pictures are mine but some I curi from others. I hope you all enjoy the pictures as I do so much.

The day started early with the collection of the gowns. I had my tickets(luckily, they arrived after the postal strike) and we headed to the professional photographers for the family pictures. Being in an engineering school, everything was in mass production and fast. It was snap snap snap and I was done. The ceremony started at 11.30 a.m and lasted for 2 hours.

Aerial view.

Bottom view. My parents were sitting on the second tier in a box!!! Even I don't get to sit in it. :(

An undergraduate.

A graduate. The 4-seconds of fame.

After a 2 hour loooooong agonising of not clapping and name-butchering MCs saying most of the Asians name, we adjourned for the reception in the Queen's Lawn.

But before that, it was for sure to take some pictures outside of Royal Albert Hall. After all, this is the grandest venue you can ever graduate. Some of the pictures are in random orders.

The ever good-looking little brother I have. Never seen you like this before. Just so classy and stylish.

Siew Ping of course. Without a wardrobe dysfunction. Just kidding. Hehehehe.

Sujatra. The other Malaysian in Aero.

Ahhhhhh. The great gay lou. Hahahaha. Omar you rock.

Miss Goo. The crazy Norwegian.

Wan. The ever patient and sensible person I knew in Imperial College.

Tockie Tock!!! Finally, dah graduate!!!

Chien Liq who had a loooooooooooooooooooooong lunch break. Thanks a lot.

Umut. The Turkish. Girls goes crazy over him. And an accent to die for.

The ever sweet and most compassionate girl I know, Anu.

Big teddy bear, Dhruve. Who's your daddy?!?!

Song. Well, she is safe and sound from the fires of LA. :)

After those Royal Albert Hall pictures, I didn't get much because my family headed off to the reception because they were hungry so I was left out. That's just sad but oh well. The finger food served was definitely nice and the champagne was nice.

Siew Ping again.

Now, Wayn.

Oh hail Xue Lieh.

The Chinese group in group. To be hones there is quite a number. Hahaha.

Arjun, the anime freak!!!

You know this is the first picture I have with Charlotte after all these years!!! Ang ang ah, Charlotte Yeow!!!

A very hungry Kai too. Haha.

The cool Zhern Yoong.

And a big gang here. Mostly the third years. Thanks mates.

Alvin, me, Winston and Wesley. Great to see you guys again.

So please comment on the pictures. I hope they are nice and I certainly had a great graduation. Everyone looks handsome, pretty, beautiful, matured and all lah. The best part now is that I'm going for the graduation in Singapore.

Singapore here I come!!!

Last but not least, I would like to say thank you very much to my parents and sister for attending this graduation. Without them, I wouldn't be in Imperial College without their encouragement and guidance throughout. Also thank you to the 2 other who attended the graduation, little bro, Heng Kai and Siew Ping. I couldn't ask for more. Got to give it to Siew Ping for her great job on taking pictures. Thanks to those who were there and not there for giving their support and the list goes on.

Would continue more but it would get too soapy. It's suppose to be a celebration! So, guys good luck in the near future(which you all will and definitely) and will keep in touch.
