Okay. Just had a 30 minute glimpse of the first session. For the record Minister of Information, 30 minutes of live parliament seating is way too short.
Anyway, the first 20 minutes is of course the opposition weren't happy. First, they said that the swearing of some of the MP as not valid because they didn't raise their right hand up. Second, they feel cheated that all the questions are all being asked by the BN's MP.
They went on and on and on and on and poor Speaker(may be not poor Speaker in the eyes of the Opposition) keep justifying about his decision is final and fair yet the Opposition kept raising and making a big issue out of it. Yes, it is a technical issue but shouldn't you try to solve the rakyat's problem first then bring the issue up at appropriate time and place.
The PM then answered a question and due to the short time the Speaker said there will be no extra or supplementary questions should be add. Now, that's playing with fire. The Opposition was furious and Ipoh Timur Lim Kit Siang went berserk say that this is a mockery of our Parliament. My my.
However, I give my respect to the PM for standing up and said to the Speaker saying that he doesn't mind answering 2 or 3 questions more. I think it shows that he is willing to listen and shows respect to the Opposition.
Well, that's all we had. 30 minutes mana cukup!!! I want more!!! I think better have a Parliament TV. That will be the best channel for Malaysia for the next coming years. More drama than any soap drama!!! ;)
